Coast Concrete Services was founded in 1994 by the late Ray Fontaine, Jr. Ray started Coast with a vision and laid the foundation for the company to be a staple in the construction industry for many years to come. His bold personality, commitment to his employees and desire to succeed are a few of the many reasons Coast Concrete is still thriving today.

Janet has been with Coast Concrete Services since the doors were opened in 1994. Janet ensures that Coast operates as efficiently as possible on a day to day basis with an emphasis on the growth of the business. With over 35 years of construction industry experience, Janet has consistently proven to be a committed leader at Coast Concrete. Janet holds CIT and CCA certifications from Clemson University and has been a member of The National Association of Women in Construction for over 25 years.
Lindsey Fontaine Orkus
Board of Directors
Lindsey is a 2nd generation employee as Ray’s daughter and has been working at Coast Concrete since 2013. After spending her childhood around the company, she began to work for her family’s business after graduating from Louisiana State University with a degree in Business Management and a minor in Human Resources. Lindsey oversees the day to day operations of the Post-Tension Division and is a licensed Contractor in the State of Louisiana.
Idun has been with Coast Concrete since 1998 and is a key piece to ensuring that the business operates effectively and efficiently on day to day basis. As the Accounting Manager, Idun oversees all aspects of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable for Coast. Idun earned her undergraduate degree and a certificate of Paralegal Studies from Tulane University.
Gregory Orkus, MBA
Director of Business Development
Gregory joined Coast Concrete Services in 2017. As the head of Business Development, Gregory is responsible for driving the company’s business as well as identifying opportunities to increase the overall revenue of Coast Concrete. Along with client-relationship management, he is also tasked with proposing and developing new strategic partnerships. Furthermore, Gregory is responsible for all of the marketing campaigns to generate new business and leads for the Sales Team. Gregory has an undergraduate degree in Accounting from Louisiana State University as well as Master of Business Administration from the University of New Orleans.
COMMERCIAL CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION DIVISION
Vice President of Construction
Howard has spent the last 17 years of his professional career with Coast Concrete but his experience in the construction industry goes over 37 years. Howard started as a laborer as a teenager but now holds a Vice President position at Coast Concrete. With both industrial and commercial experience, there are very few foundations that Howard has not built. As a company, we are proud to call Howard our own because we believe that he is one of the most knowledgeable people in Concrete Construction in the state of Louisiana and his resume and expertise only confirms that.

With over 20 years of construction industry experience, Matt’s expertise and attention to detail allows him to oversee all the projects in Coast’s Commercial Division. Prior to joining the company in 2009, Matt held Project Management and Estimating positions with construction companies in Texas and Louisiana. Matt holds an undergraduate degree in Construction Management from the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
Cody started with Coast Concrete 12 years ago as laborer and has since made a name for himself and climbed the ranks to his current position of Superintendent. Cody has spent his time at Coast learning directly from his father, Howard Hardy, and has only benefitted from the knowledge that has been passed down to him. Cody’s knowledge and experience in Concrete Construction has allowed him to run multiple projects and consistently deliver quality products to our customers.
After starting in the construction industry at the age of 14, Pablo never stopped to look back or to change his mind. Today he boasts over 40 years of experience but still has the work ethic he did when he started. Pablo prides himself on knowing “everything concrete” and his expertise is large volume production. After working as a Subcontractor for Coast Concrete for many years, Pablo joined the team in 2014 as a Superintendent.
Area Sales Manager – Acadiana
Jerry’s career with Coast Concrete started in 1996 when the demand for an Area Sales Manager in the Lafayette market became evident shortly after Coast opened its doors. Prior to joining Coast Concrete Jerry worked in both Sales and Management for a Ready-Mix company in both the New Iberia and Lafayette area. Since then, Jerry has made his living in the concrete industry and boasts a beyond impressive career as well as a knowledge of Post-Tension that is second to none.

John Fontaine has spent the entirety of his professional career working in the Post-Tension Industry, even before Coast Concrete opened their doors in 1994. John’s unmatched wealth of knowledge is a major reason as to why Coast has consistently delivered flawless foundations since day one. John holds numerous certifications from the Post Tension Institute and has installed Post-Tensioned Systems into foundations for residential and commercial structures of all different types for over 25 years.
Area Sales Manager – Metropolitan Baton Rouge
Since 1995 Gary Richard has overseen the Baton Rouge market for Coast Concrete Services. Although his time with Coast started then, Gary’s experience dates to 1982 when he began selling concrete at another company in Louisiana. Gary’s father also sold concrete for 33 years and because of that he has benefited tremendously from being exposed to the industry for most of his lifetime. We are proud as a company to say that Gary has been an influential part of the development of the city of Baton Rouge and its surrounding areas over the years, both commercially and residentially.
Area Sales Manager – Northshore and Gulf Coast (MS, AL and FL)
After completing his High School education, T.J. immediately began working in the construction industry in Louisiana. 30 years later, T.J. has now been involved in all phases of Residential Construction including lumber, windows, roofing and brick. Most importantly, T.J. possesses a wealth of knowledge for Post-Tensioned Systems and foundations and holds a certification from the Post-Tensioning Institute (PTI) as a Slab-on-Ground Installer-Stressor.
Area Sales Manager – Southshore and Houma/Thibodaux
Percy Freeman, P.E.
Mr. Freeman is Coast’s Chief Engineer in charge of the Engineering Department. With over 40 years of experience, Percy has a broad spectrum of experience in foundation design from multi-story buildings to offshore platforms to residential structures. Percy holds a Bachelor (BS) and a Masters (MS) from Tulane University. He is a registered professional engineer in Louisiana, California, and Nevada.
For the last 11 years Mike has been working for Coast Concrete and currently holds the position of Senior Designer. Mike plays a role in every foundation design that is produced by Coast regardless of size. With 12 years of experience using CAD and an Associate’s Degree in Industrial Science, Mike consistently delivers the highest quality of work for Coast’s customers.
